"Eye of the Tiger" Played on an Old Dot-Matrix Printer

"Papa, what did the ’80s sound like?"

This is so many levels of brilliant

Aw man, that old concertina fold printer paper though!

My dad used to be up late at night every six weeks to print out the grades for all his classes…I can still remember falling asleep to the sound of the dot matrix churning away. It never played Eye of the Tiger though.

Also this song makes me think of Supernatural forever. And I don’t even really watch it. LOL

OK BUT SEE, I DIDN’T KNOW.

I didn’t KNOW. Chris Evans swears like a sailor. Chris Evans has an adorable Bostonish accent. Chris Evans wants you to know that he can tap dance. Chris Evans thinks that Captain America is the least ass-kicking of all of the Avengers. Chris Evans loves to tell the story where he made an idiot of himself in front of Ben Affleck. Chris Evans is REALLY EXCITED TO DO THIS INTERVIEW. Chris Evans REALLY wants to talk to you and tell you what’s on his mind.

Chris Evans is STUPIDLY CHARMING. And no seriously, he swears LIKE A SAILOR. People who swear with alacrity are my fucking kryptonite.

I just DID. NOT. KNOW. I have literally never seen him outside of movies and photos before.

YOU GUYS I CANNOT HANDLE IT
CHRIS EVANS IS ADORABLE AND LOVES MY FAVORITE JELLYBEANS AND HE CAN TAP DANCE AND SWEARS LIKE I DO

By far the stupidest criticism of the new Thor is ‘no where in Norse mythology is Thor a woman, stop messing with mythology.’

Right, because Norse mythology is just fucking filled with stories about Thor hanging out with Iron Man and Captain America at the Avengers Tower.

PREACH IT.

“I will tell you, he (Oliver) does ask her (Felicity) out on a date. That is going to happen. I don’t know what to say beyond that, except that we’re really acknowledging the chemistry between the two characters and the attraction between the two characters, and we’re moving forward with their dance, that they’ve basically been doing since episode 3 of the show. From the moment they met each other, there was something going on, and we’re just honoring that,” he explained.”

Tori Amos Goes Under The Covers With Miley, Madonna And Metallica »

yaycoffee:

One of the (many) reasons to see Tori Amos live is her truly stunning and artistic approach to doing cover songs.  Her version of “Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "97 Bonnie and Clyde" are both chilling for different reasons and blew the breath out of me when I heard them live.  This is a great article about the covers she’s sung on her latest tour (with bonus youtubes so you can hear).  It’s a straight-up Q-andA interview—so cool to hear her explain her process for deciding to do a particular cover.  Such a great read and a great listen!

I am so stoked about seeing Tori in Dallas later this month. I have been a huge fan of hers for well over half my life, and I think without a doubt she is the musician who has most impacted me as a person.

I have vivid memories of calling into 94.5 The Edge during The Adventure Club on Sunday nights to get them to play Tori b-sides so that I could tape them. Smells Like Teen Spirit was a personal favorite.

I really really want that stupid She-Ra letter opener. It’s SO COOL. And only $20, unlike the other SDCC exclusives I usually want. *pout* I wish I was going this year.

I can try to pick it up for you if you want. :)

*SHRIEK* really?!?!? You would be the coolest friend ever. I will PayPal you for cost and shipping if you’re able to get your hands on it. I forgot that you go so frequently! What are you cosplaying this year?

I really need to up my geeky t-shirt game. I don’t have a single Phoenix-related one, and that is a damn shame. I need more fandoms represented in my shirt wardrobe by far.

That said, the shirts I do have are works of art. My Sleeping Beauty/Doctor Who crossover shirt stopped a full-grown man in his tracks in the middle of Home Depot.
